Background information about 'Higurashi Season 1 Complete Edition'
BRD gathers the complete original anime adaptation of 07th Expansion's cultishly beloved visual novel hit with "Higurashi Season 1 Complete Edition". The sleepy mountain village of Hinamizawa seems idyllic at first glance — until new transfer student Keiichi Maebara gets drawn into the strange annual events surrounding the Watanagashi Festival. What begins as a harmless slice-of-life romance tips, episode by episode, into pure psychological horror.
This release delivers the complete first season in German dub in a premium presentation. A genre-defining anime that shaped the mystery-horror genre for an entire generation with its loop-based storytelling and oscillation between comedy and terror. Warning: graphic violence, not suitable for younger audiences.
